There is Power in Numbers
“How can I help establish a public bank in Massachusetts?”
We’re at the start of our legislative campaign for 2021-22. We welcome your involvement. Here are some actions you can take to advance public banking for the “common wealth.”
Ask your state Senator and Representative to co-sponsor S.665/H.1223 “An Act to Establish a Massachusetts Public Bank”
Our bill needs co-sponsors! Now is the best time to contact your state Representative and Senator and ask for their support. For talking points, please see this page on our website. There are also links there to help you look up your legislators, and to find their contact information.
We’re always happy to answer your questions. Contact us!
Sign up for more advocacy opportunities
As we move through the 2021-22 legislative session, we’ll be asking supporters to contact their state Senator and Representative to invite them to caucus briefings, or to ask them to help advance our bill out of committee.
At these times your voice matters, so please sign up for our mailing list, below. We’ll contact you when it’s time to speak up and give you talking points to help you make the case for action.
Invite us to speak
We welcome the opportunity to make the case for a public bank and can set up online meetings with your organization to introduce you to public banking and our legislation. We are also eager to speak with officers and board members in municipal government. If you serve on a town Select Board or other committee, or can facilitate an introduction, please contact us.
Endorse our bill
We welcome endorsements from business and civic organizations, Boards of Selectmen, City Councils, and mayors. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information
