There is Power in Numbers
“How can I help establish a public bank in Massachusetts?”
We’re at the start of our legislative campaign for 2021-22. We welcome your involvement. Here are some actions you can take to advance public banking for the “common wealth.”
Invite us to speak
We welcome the opportunity to make the case for a public bank and can set up online meetings with your organization to introduce you to public banking and our legislation. We are also eager to speak with officers and board members in municipal government. If you serve on a town Select Board or other committee, or can facilitate an introduction, please contact us.
Be an advocate
At certain times of the year we’ll be asking constituents to contact their state Senator and Representative to urge them to co-sponsor our bill, attend briefings, or advance our bill out of committee. At these times your voice matters, so please sign up for our mailing list. We’ll contact you when it’s time to speak up and give you talking points to help you make the case for a public bank. We can also help with local organizing so that you can bring in a group of constituents to make the case for bill sponsorship or other actions.
Endorse our bill
We welcome endorsements from business and civic organizations, Boards of Selectmen, City Councils, and mayors. Email us at info@masspublicbanking.org for more information
