We just found out about this nifty Kickstarter campaign on the New York public banking group’s Facebook page—too late to donate so we’re really glad that the project looks like it’s a go. Crash Boom Pop, a graphic novel series about money and economics, seeks to demystify conventional dry and abstract Econ 101 topics, and make them understandable and relevant to a world where most students graduate high school without any notion of how money, banks, or the economy really function.

You can watch a video describing the project here and download the first ten inked pages (the final will be in color, of course, since it’s a comic book!) Estimated publication date is October 2015.
